щ missing in Russian Mnemonic keyboard

It is great that a Russian mnemonic keyboard is added in windows8.But I can not find the letter щ. Where is it?It is a necessary letter, for example it appears in ямщик.Thanks in advance

At least 3 letters are missing in the windows8 Russian mnemonic keyboard: щ,ч and э.They exist in the standard Russian keyboard. There they are at the location (in the US keyboard) of: o,x and'Without these three letters the mnemonic keyboard is useless

It's funny you should post this, me and my cousin were playing around with this and found some weird bugs of our own.

I'm actually trying to learn the Russian keyboard and language a little and this is the stock keyboard that comes with windows 8 Russian language pack: (I'm not too sure this is the exact one you want)

й ц у к е н г ш щ з х ъ
ф ы в а п р о л д ж э
я ч с м и т ь б ю

This is the same key order as the English qwerty keyboard:

q w e r t y u i o p [ ] \
a s d f g h j k l ; '
z x c v b n m , .



letter O in the qwerty format is letter щ in the Russian format.
X (qwerty) is ч and
' (qwerty) is э

Try with Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator to add missing letters. MS says that the creator works with XP, but you can try it.
If you succeed - you can post the new keyboard layout here.

It still does not work.I installed dotNet 2.0 and MKLC 1.4, used the Russian mnemonic keyboard and just added the 3 letters щ, ч and э at the end of the second row (in place of [,] and \), called the new keyboard RussianCustom and went through validate , test and build. There was a problem building the keyboard file: CL.EXE, RC.EXE and LINK.EXE all 3 returned 1

Write to MS for this problem.
You can search the net for possible solutions(MCLK).

I checked again with Microsoft Answer Desk (session ID: 1192955352). The problem has been forwarded to MS technicians, but no guarantee, when and if the error will be corrected.

They will probably ignore it... Imagine how many requests they get in every day.
