Disable the annoying Narrator

Hey all, hopefully we can resolve this issue together (all 6 microsoft phone "technicians" made me pull my hair out).

I'm running Windows 8. When I try connecting my laptop to a TV through HDMI, Narrator pops up. It happens when I select either 'duplicate', 'extend', or 'second only' using the [ENTER] key. I have to then exit Narrator every single time I want to connect my laptop to my TV. How do I get it to stop popping up? I've tried going in the Ease of Access Center to no prevail.

**Actually, while writing this, I messed around and found that Narrator doesn't pop up when I use a mouse to click and select. Although this isn't ideal (I use my keys to navigate and [ENTER] would be convenient), I could get by using my mouse. There should be a solution though.

so you went to ease of access and turned it off correct, like below !

Do this: Go to Control Panel -> Ease of Access -> Ease of Access Center -> Explore all Settings -> Use the computer without a display. Uncheck the checkbox by Turn on Narrator and click Save.

Yeah, I looked there already and it wasn't checked. I even checked the box, clicked apply, then unchecked it, and reapplied.
