Windows 8 will no longer sleep.

I noticed recently that my windows 8 laptop will no longer sleep on its own (set to 30 minutes). The power plan is the default - balanced plan. I have narrowed the problem down to the wifi card - intel 6250. When I disable the wireless card, the laptop will enter sleep after 30 minutes.

I have disabled the ability for this network adaptor to wake up the pc, and have also disabled all its ability to wake on ... etc.

Wondering if anyone has had this issue or has any help!

Have you disabled ability to wake it in both BIOS and OS???

Yes, both BIOS and OS the ability for wifi card to wake pc has been disabled.

Oh well!
