Since Microsoft are going to put in a new UI "Wind" in the next version of Windows, will they keep the Aero UI used in Windows Vista/7. Because what if I get disappointed with the new UI? I might want Aero as an alternative. But, must wait and find out. :p

I would answer yes. Mostly because of all of the work they've put into it. It looked best in Vista, but then with 7 they added 'aero snap', 'aero peek', and made the 'live aero previews' from the taskbar better.

All in all I would say that Microsoft would be foolish to leave aero behind.

I would also have to say yes, although I think the gui will have a dramatic overhaul with regards to looks and functionality.

I think Microsoft will still include aero because they included the old Windows Classic style. I wish they still had the Windows XP and Vista style. I miss them! :ROFLMAO:  :what:

Each successive version of windows has had more "eye candy", and it's easier to style it the way you like. It's possible that will continue with even more customization choices. But I suspect 3rd paty themes will never be supported natively. Maybe some kind of sandbox for themes so they do not actually change any system files? A Guy

I'm trying to save some money for the Stardock ObjectDesktop suite. It includes SkinStudio and WindowBlinds so you can make Windows themes.

I too would say Yes as the 'Wind UI' will only be available to x64 users (atleast, as of now :p), and I don't think MS will leave the x86 users with only some basic or high contrast theme. :p

I guess Aero will perpetuate... it's very elegant and a second option is always good !

PS: I heard they're going to include an enticing Win 3.11 based theme too :D
