Solved Is it legal to use windows 7 os files under windows 8 ?
Tittle says it all. Can I use files of windows 7 operating system under windows 8? I mean extracting some files from windows 7 dvd and then using these files under windows 8. Would microsoft consider it legal ?

That would have been my guesstimate, as I have such files imported from W7 on Windows 8. And I gave a senior techo from MS online control of my PC with that in it, after explaining to him exactly what I had done, before he would trouble shoot my problem with Excel. He asked for and checked out the validity of my product keys before proceeding ... both W7 and W8. If there had been any problem I'm sure he would have said something as he took a long time away checking them out.
