I made an installation error of an Exit shortcut and now it automatically begins a shutdown shortly after entering my password. This happens at every bootup and I have no time to do anything about it. I need to get to the Restore function at startup. The screen is a standard one from HP offering F11 System Recovery. I can get to the bios and diagnosis and Boot, but pressing F11 does nothing. Holding it down or tapping it makes no difference. Once I enter my password and the tiles appear the shutdown process beings anew.
How can I get to the restore function or to something where I can correct my stupid mistake? I do have an ISO DVD to fall back on. TIA
