Copy/Paste in Windows Explorer Not Working

I can't use the native Windows 8 copy/paste. Copy works, but when I paste, I get the "waiting" cursor, then get dumped to the Metro screen. So far, the only way I can move or copy things is with CFiShellToys or TeraCopy, and I installed these only after the Native Windows 8 Copy/Paste kept failing.

I've already run SFC at the command prompt, and according the the results, all is well.

I checked the Event log, and here it is.

Faulting application name: explorer.exe, version: 6.2.9200.16384, time stamp: 0x50107dbc
Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000
    Exception code: 0xc0000005

I've tested hardware, memory, no faults.

S.C., i cannot help you with your problem, BUT testing memory (i guess memtext) is not 100 % waterproof.

I had 4 gb OCZ 1333 mhz memory (2 x 2 gb) that was tested for 72 hours in the shop and they said it was ok.

But having problems (hang-ups) with my system, i removed 1 stick and bye bye problems.

What you could do, if not already done, is remove your memory and let only 1 stick in, then see what happens.

Removed both 8 gig sticks, put one in. Booted up. Copy/paste failed. Powered down, swapped sticks. Same thing happened.

I could understand if this was a problem starting with Win7, but it's only been happening with Windows 8.

Try resetting IE10, it might solve it for you.

How is resetting INTERNET Explorer going to fix a problem with copying and pasting in WINDOWS explorer? I'll give it a try.

    EDIT: Didn't fix the problem.

You could try a Reset and see whether it fixes the problem:Reset Windows 8

Refresh would be better since reset reverts the system back to clean install ?

It started happening today - when I tried to copy a file into a folder and there's a file already in it with the same name, it doesn't ask me if I want to replace or cancel it. It just adds "1" after the name of the file. ie. pasting a file named "TEST" to a folder (or desktop) which already...
Copy menu works ok, but unable to paste because it throws me back briefly to the Metro window. This behavior doesn't work consistently but I have to log out and back in in order to correct it. Even reboot doesn't help. Note: this is the File Explorer, not the internet browser.
So my problem is next: Windows Explorer keeps crashing when I try to copy/paste anything to anywhere. What I've done while trying to fix this? 1. Made everything show up as a list view (so no thumbnails or big icons) - No luck 2. Opened firefox and pressed Ctrl+O to get "Open File" dialog...

Hi, all. I was thrilled to see MS finally added the "copy path" function to the ribbon. To my dismay, it has suddenly stopped working. I can't think of any significant changes I've made to my system (no clipboard extenders recently added, etc.). If I use the SHIFT+right-click copy as path shell...
