I am wondered what is the file systems (NTFS & FAT) of GPT

With UEFI BIOS,Win8 make my data HDD to RAM file systems during partitioning HDD
and WIN 8 cannot recognize it after finishing win8 installation and log in.
Is That win8 bug or AMI UEFI BIOS's bug.
If the RAW is GPT's file systems format. The system HDD why is NTFS not RAW.

GPT is a partition table. It has no file system type. Is there a way you could clarify your post a bit?

From what I can see, the OP is talking about the fact the install change is data HD partition to RAW , so unless he use some recovery software, this partition is lost, I'm not even sure it's recoverable, I have never get into this situation. You use mainly RAW disk only for VM ........Second time I ear about it in this forum.

Yes, that seems to be what he is saying.

I also saw something posted about it elsewhere - can't recall where, I don't think it was on this forum - tho it might have been.

Might need to try some kind of partition recovery software.

I don't know if partition wizard free version will do the job.

May be worth getting it to do a scan and see what it comes up with.

Oh, yes - that was after updates.

Can't remember what I did about it - probably used Paragon HDM - but it's $100 for pro and a lot more for server edition.

Fat 32 vs NTFS usb format in Software and Apps
A while back, someone posted that Macrium Reflect was limited to making 4GB files when making a system image. That's true if you use a USB drive formatted in Fat 32. If using Fat 32 format you will end up with probably 5 or more small image files. If using a USB formatted as NTFS you will...
