I have recently upgraded my Lenovo notebook from Windows 7 32 bit to Windows 8 32 bit.
I would like to do a clean install to 64 bit.
If I upgrade my Windows 7 64 bit Desktop PC and create a USB recovery, can I use this to install the 64 bit system to my notebook using the the 32 bit product key I already purchased?
I tried to get an answer from Microsoft, but their online support didn't fully answer or understand my question; I hope I have made it clear on this forum??
My main reason for upgrading is that my Notebook was wrongly advertised as having a 64 bit OS, I did receive a small rebate from the supplier but not enough to purchase a complete new OS.
Many thanks in advance
