    Help please

    Alright,
So I've now disabled the lock screen thanks to your help. However my computer still times out on me. After about a minute or so of inactivity the screen will go dark, and if you do not immediately go back to it, it will boot you back to a login screen. So it is actually still locking it, just without the lock screen. This is very annoying given I am not the only one using it, on Sundays everyone is over and on it so I would like for it to be accessible to everyone without me having to login again every time. I did make a guest account but then I don't have all of the things I want on it, like pictures, apps etc. Help me out guys, please.
    Thanks in advance (:

    Hello Jdarb,

From the amount of idle time you say this happens after, this may be the On resume, disaply logon screen box checked in Screen Saver Settings. Double check using the tutorial below to make sure it's unchecked to see if that may help.

In addtition, you might also see if these may help.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

You can increase the time before it goes to sleep in Advanced Power Options, you can also set never for "Required Password on wake" there.

Try using Control Panel > Power Options to prevent your computer from sleeping in addition to what you already have done. I am guessing it is a desktop so you wouldn't be worried about running your battery down if you prevent sleep. Of course, if it is a laptop, then you could always keep it plugged in.
