Hello all,

This is my first post.

I successfully upgraded my OS from Windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro.

I chose the import my data and settings.

Now when I am choosing Google Chrome which was imported from Win 7, I am getting a win7 layout.

When I boot up, I get the Win 8 tiles layout but as soon as I click on Chrome, I start getting Win 7 layout.

Whats the matter?

Help would be appreciated.

Regards

EDIT : Also tried clicking IE and same thing happening.

Hello there and welcome!

Are you talking about when you open google chrome, it opens in the Windows 7 styled Desktop versus the full screen immersive Internet Explorer 10?

If my understanding is correct, every time you open an appwhich is not a windows 8 app, the desktop will open first with the opened appon top. When you open a Win 8 app, the desktop will not open. Someone feel freeto correct me if I'm wrong.

I think Chrome actually has a context menu in the corner that lets you Relaunch in Metro Mode, or something similar. See if that helps.

Thanks a lot.

Is there any setting by which we can make it possible to launch all apps start in Metro mode?

Thanks
