    How to close Metro apps?

Since I've not installed adobe reader, the preinstalled Reader app opened for viewing a pdf file. What is the intended method to close Reader and other metro apps? I don't see any way to do that. I don't expect we are supposed to use Task Manager to close it.

    Thanks

Move your cursor to top left corner and close.

Grab the app at the very top (in the middle) and drag down to the bottom of the page, this will close the app and end the process. If you open another app over it or find its exit button (if it has one) it will stay open in the app bar and the process will continue to run, The app bar is the menu in the top left corner.

I guess it was too much trouble to put in a red 'X'. You know, like they've been doing since what, Windows 3.1?

I just hit Alt+f4, even macro'd it to a key on my Sidewinder, quicker than click/dragging imo.

Alt-F4 or drag-to-bottom works for me.

And to close a minimised app when on the desktop, right-click in
the top-left corner of the screen. You can snap, and switch between
    apps from here, also.

You'll notice that Metro apps don't have titlebars. If you take the titlebar off any Windows app, there is no longer a close box. So I fail to see how that is any different from how it's ever been.
