Is it possible to buy Windows 8 for a non Windows PC?

Hi there,

Is it possible to buy Windows 8 as a non upgrade, in other words can I buy the full edition? I do not have Windows on my PC (I use Ubuntu) and I would like to buy Windows 8 and install that as well.

I was running Ubuntu 12.10 and I just downloaded a copy of Windows 7 from my digital life since I have a working Windows 7 key sticker on the bottom of my laptop, installed seven then bought the windows 8 upgrade and saved some money.

On another note be careful with this upgrade, I haven't even looked back at Ubuntu since the install.

I like to play with Linux distro, but if you give me the possibility to run only 1 Os, it will be Windows for sure. With the new metro apps that will come on the market, Windows 8 may be a good choice, even if few think are annoying
