I'm not sure if this is the proper section for this post, but here goes.
I recently installed Windows 8 Professional as an upgrade over Windows 7. Ever since the install I can't access anything that requires UAC permissions and I get the following error dialog: "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source."
This happens, for instance, when I try to run command prompt as an administrator or the task manager.
I've tried to reboot with driver signature enforcement disabled but I still get this error. I installed Windows 8 from a mounted .iso and I can't burn it or run it with this error, so I'm having difficulty re-installing if that would solve the problem.
Any ideas?
