I just Download Office 2013 and Visio 2013 ISO, is not that great to be abble to install them right away without installing third apps like Deamon ? Not the first time I use the Mount function, but everytime I do , I really thanks MS for it.

Yes,.mounting natively is nice..been doing it for nearly 15 years in Linux..not sure why this feature took so long to get here.

May be Microsoft was afraid of anti-trust , if some are old enough to remember the double space thing at the time MS introduce with DOS 6.2 I think, they was force to remove it with 6.22 ( note sure of the number )

From memory, DOS 6.20 had DoubleSpace, 6.21 had nothing (again, from memory, I don't have 6.21) and 6.22 (best DOS ever) had DriveSpace.

Happy to be corrected.....

I say it probably took a while because Windows 8 is being used on new PCs that don't have optical drives, people must be ripping .isos more, or that people are downloading software online more and more.

Native .iso mount is nice, but I don't think it's so far the best feature. One I would argue is that Windows 8 has been found to block 85% of malware OUT OF THE BOX versus 32% with Windows 7 out of the box. Windows Defender would be the nice feature here.

MY, personal favorite feature, Start Screen. :)

Yes I found the start page more easy to use than the old start menu ....still I will prefer it more customize-able and running in a window , not in full page.

I was reading today about this app called RetroUI, basically it makes Windows 8 like 7. One of the features that peaked my interest was that it said it can make the metro apps resizable. I don't know if this is true or not, but sounds interesting.

I 'm kissing your feet my friend , you finally found an example of what Metro Start Page should look , Balmer should fire Sinofsky and hire the team of RetroUI...if you can make it run in a Window it's even better

well if you read the install, I wonder it work on what , I copy and paste ....

so it's design and tested on 9200 but will not work on 9200, someone understand ?

Yeah, I played around with it for a bit.. Highly unstable, and didn't really work. The menu was kind of cool when I could get it to work, but was filled with stuff I didn't install, and it just crashed all over the place.
