    Actually, on the physical box (at least for the ASUS Vivo RT tablet) on the back of the box it explicitly and simply says that it doesn't work with existing Desktop software. I might take a photo and upload tomorrow of this.

    oh boy should have never talk about Nintendo, fact is that I hate consoles, I never play on consoles, even if my kids have all them. I'm a mouse type of gamer and at 52 I'm too old young to change it. lol

    Sure MS had non admin accounts a long time ago, but they left users as admins in XP and this caused a lot of compromised systems.

    Consoles aren't for everybody. I game on pc's and consoles,.love to keep my options open.

    You mean they defaulted users as admins. Only the first user that was created (you have to make the first user an admin, otherwise they can't create other users, or configure their machine). It would be more accurate to say that with Vista they introduced sudo-like functionality that allows administrators to run as normal users, unless specifically elevated.

    What is your problem ? lol

    I"ve seen your posts, and you are here as the DOOM and gloom person, and that's not terribly constructive is it ?

    Change can take time to adapt to, did you miss apples conversion process ?

    This thread is just anti positive.

    People LOVE touch screens, and if you doubt that, see phones and tablets for PROOF. OS's will be the same path.

    It took me a tad bit of time to adjust TO win8 , but now I love it totally. I adapted because its awesome and I wanted to.

    Ok, by your own admission, you think differently than everyone else. So why exactly do you think your complaints are valid for everyone else then?

    Lo, I don,t admit anything, I just say politely to neighborliness that you have peoples who think different than him . this guy as only 10 post here and 3 are for complain about the fact I don't blindly love Windows 8

    My complains are also the one of the majority of peoples, look at the kind of tread we usually found on other forum :

    "The great Windows 8 Hate Debat"

    @Area,

    Some people get upset if you don't affirm their personal choices.

    It is a sign of insecurity.

    As this is about RT - do they have the refresh/reset thing on those machines?

    Has anybody here actually bought one?
