    Where's Wordpad on Consumer Preview?

Good evening. I can't find Wordpad anywhere on this OS . Looked everywhere. Not in Apps. I'm actually upset. This is very hard to believe. Had a hard day and, now this ? Un-real. Just isn't happening. Totally imaginary. I guess that I should've seen this one coming. Goodday.

First, why are you running build 8250? That's the consumer preview... My god that's old...

You only have about two months before it expires. And you won't get any security or stability updates until you're on the RTM. The CP is very unstable and has a lot of problems.

In any event, it should be there. Did you go to All Apps? It should be under Windows Accessories.

I did. That's the path to the wordpad files on my Win 8 Pro X64 system. If you don't have a 64bit system it will be in a different folder under C:\Windows\WinSxS.

    or ...

    Open an Elevated Command prompt.
Type dir \wordpad.exe /s and press Enter.

That should find it for you.

    or ...

Press Windows key (next to left Ctrl key) and the R key together to open the Run box.
    Type wordpad and press Enter.

Can you explain why you think a url that includes a build number of 9200 would be present on the consumer preview version of Windows 8 that has a build number of 8250?

I agree with Mystere. It's time to dump CP.

If you like, you can download a 90-day trial of Windows 8 Enterprise (RTM) at the bottom of the link below if you are not able to purchase Windows 8 yet.

Hey, Shawn - it's my pleasure to meet our Senior Admin. I run CP because I've got a Dell Optiplex GX260 with a Pentium 4 CPU
that doesn't have NX and is therefore incompatible with any build past this one. If I thought I could enable RTM by mounting a
Install WIM file from RTM, I would try it but I'm guessing that it will punk me out the same way as when I tried before. Doesn't even get past the first Restart screen. Recently tried the Release Preview and no stogie. My Dell is from 2003 and I've stretched the envelope as far as humanly possible. I like it, but still can't find Wordpad. Nice to meet you.
