I'm using Windows 8 Release Preview and found a strange behavior when using IE10 with Facebook.

When I click any picture, instead of Pop-Up and bring the selected photo up front, IE10 put it behind main screen as Pop-Under.

This problem is taking place with IE10 only, no problem with Chrome.

Any idea?

The javascript functionality in IE10 has changed quite a bit. You are going to run into apps that assume IE will act a certain way, and IE10 has changed that behavior to be more in line with others.

In other words, it only affects apps that do something special for IE. Most apps should get updated soon, one can hope.

I had the exact same problem when I was using the Release Preview version. Apparently it's inherent to the Release Preview. I went with 8 Pro and problem is gone. I've also talked with a lot of users of the RTM version from MSDN and TechNet subscribers when it was made available to them and the FB users reported no issues at all. Keep in mind that that version you are using is still a beta.

Many thanks for quick reply.

This is my first week trial for Windows 8 Release Preview before real upgrade. I hope to do the upgrade soon.

Thanks again bassfisher6522 :thumb:

You should have instead installed the 90 day free trial, rather than the release preview. The trial is the release version and allows you to test it for 90 days.

Isn't that just for the Enterprise version? You could post a link to trial version for others in your post.

Yes, it's the enterprise version, but that won't make a difference. You can't install Media Center, and it includes a few features that aren't in the Pro version, but that's about the only differences.
