    Did windows 8 get rid of gpedit?


    I can not find gpedit (i think its "group policy editor)
    I am guessing it got remove

    I tried that but it came up with 9 files none loaded gpedit

    "group policy edit" and it came up

    fyi, it's gpedit.msc

    You can't leave the .msc off

Can't open gpedit in General Support
I'm setting up a new Dell with W-8 Home. I'm trying to open the Group Policy to edit not asking for password when restoring from "Monitor" turned off. Already stopped it on logon. Attached is the message I get either from Run or the cmd prompt.
