How to add control panel shortcut to all apps menu?

Anyone know how to add control panel shortcut to all apps menu? I have a shortcut placed in the start menu folder. its C:\Windows\System32\control.exe but wont show up like al my other items do. I got task manager to work fine but not this.

Hello Torrentula, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Control Panel should be on your Apps (All apps) screen by default under "Windows System" like in the screenshot below.

If not, then you can create and add a shortcut to the Control Panel (control.exe) into the hidden folder below to add it to your Apps screen.

C:\Users\(user-name)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\System Tools


In addition, these are some of the other most common ways to open the Control Panel if you like.

Hmmm.. I had no problems. I opened up Explorer, navigated to C:\Windows\System32 found Control.exe and right clicked on it and chose "Pin to Start Menu". This added it both to the top level start menu, and all programs.

That didn't work for you? And, as Brink mentions, it's already there by default anyways... so...
