Removable media and my documents

hey guys, sorry my first post is a question!
I am running 8 on a Samsung slate 7 as I see no point in putting it onto a desktop, but that's another story. The slate only has a 60gb SSD internal, but conveniently comes with a micro SD card slot. End of my problems, or so I thought! The combination of the OS plus office 2010 and a couple of other programs have pretty much killed my internal storage so I turned to a 64gb micro SD card to store all my music, video, pictures etc etc. Unfortunately it does not allow me to add these files to my 'library' telling me that I can't put removable media folders in there. I did a quick search and came up with a blank.

Is there an easy way around this? You would think that an OS that was designed primarily for slates/tablets etc would support a function like this. At the minute alot of the apps designed for viewing these types of files are null and void for me.

Any help you could give would be much appreciated

If you intend to never remove the card, then you can mark the drive as "non-removable", but if you do remove it, it can cause some problems if you don't return it to its removable state first.
