I just upgraded to windows 8 64-bit from windows 7 64-bit off of Microsoft website.

I am having driver issues with soundcard/videocard/chipset/everything so I am just going to reformat my HDD, as in, clean install windows 8 with NOTHING else.

Is there any way I can do this? I have no physical copy of the windows 8! Do I just make a .iso boot disk?

Thanks for any help!

You should be able to install without copying anything over from your old OS. everything Win7 will be moved into a Windows.old folder which you can delete.

I think.

So would I just pop the CD with the .iso into my drive, restart computer, and there should be options there to do what I need?

I believe so, but make sure you have the Windows 8 drivers for your wifi and ethernet handy, as those didn't copy over on my system.
