I am new to the forum, i just installed windows 8 pro and updated, and i found some bugs and i want to share also want to know if someone has it too.

Sometimes IE 10 metro and desktop version couse (display driver stopped responding and has recovered) i have sapphire 6850 1GB and 12.10 latest drivers, this not happand with Firefox or Chrome.

Also with IE10 desktop there is facebook problem i cant minimize chat window and cant make video call if i had chated with someone before (the options is not clickable) and work fine with other person who dont message me before (empty chat).

Another bug is multimedia buttons on the keyboard wont work volume up-down, back, forward..and when i unplug the keyboard (usb) and plug it again work fine until restart.

i think that windows 8 will be great os :)

None of those are bugs in Windows 8. They're bugs in in the various drivers. Did you make sure to get the Windows 8 video driver, and not just the latest one in general? The Facebook problem is probably a bug with facebook not supporting IE10 yet, try clicking the compatibility link in the address bar. The keyboard issue is probably the keyboard driver. Did you install the vendors driver?

I've had 3 complete lockups since I installed Win 8 Pro X64. Have not had any with Win 7 since I installed it September of 09.

No dumps, nothing in Event Viewer.

I know this is a fairly old computer but it worked perfectly with Win 7 Pro X64.

That system in your spec belongs in the tip. A $70 Android USB stick is faster. No wonder 8 is choking.

It's better-specced than my old P4, which runs the 32-bit CP with ease.

*shakes head*. A budget smartphone is faster than a P4. This isn't 2002 anymore. Its so slow its not even funny.

And no, it isn't my main machine (see my specs).
