Ghost or Windows 8 best to backup?

I have used Norton Ghost for severel years, making an image of my C:, so I allways is able to return to last backup-stage. But with Windows 8 and UEFI boot, there are now 3 partitions that has to be in a "complete" systembackup, and only one of these partitions has a drive-letter. Does Norton Ghost support this?
Or is it better to use Windows 8 own backupfunction? (aka a complete system-disk backup on another HDD)

I don't know about Ghost, but Windows own backup is flaky.

There are several 3rd party imaging programs which are more flexible and reliable.

Are you speak of the regular backup utility or the system image utility?

The GUI version of Windows image backup is flakey, however i've never had an issue with the command line version of it in either 7 or now 8.

OMG. Ghost... haven't heard that in a long long time... Are you still running Windows 3.11?

I use Acronis. That's been my fav for awhile now.

Both Ghost and Win8 system refresh are working well. I did try on my system and both of them work well

Ghost 12 works on Windows 8. No problems at all. However, I have moved to Active@ Image and Active@ Boot Disk for cold backups, which are more reliable. Active@ is pricey, but comes with many useful utilities that Norton does not offer as part of a complete backup/restore package. Acronis is no match.

    The built-in works ok
    Macrium Reflect free is good
Acronis True Image Home is good (not free)
    EaseUS ToDoBackup Free works good
Aomei Disk Backuper works good. (and is free). This is the one I am using these days.
