I have already disabled the lock screen, but it will still lock and jump to the login screen. I have turned screensaver off. And messed with the advanced power options. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

I'm no computer whiz! but i have been lookin for a way to disable this as well and i have sorted it if you head on over to control panel then from there open hardware and sound then finally power options on the left hand side it will say choose when to turn off display if you click that it will give you the option to turn off the sleep witch is know as auto lock.

    Hi guys.

I had been same problem and solved it today by this tutorial:

Found a fix, under User Accounts, clicking reset security policies seems to have fixed the issue. Also, it fixed the issue of not being able to change the screensaver timeout. I haven't been able to track down the specific policy caused the problem in the first place, but this works for now.

    I found it here:

That option to reset the security policies doesn't exist in Win 8 Pro.

Where is the setting? I don't see it where this thread says it is. No, I don't have WMC installed.
