I am unable to boot my system as it is not moving forward after the windows start up screen. Not even that i am unable to repair or reinstall windows. Even the recovery DVD is not working. I have no idea what to do, can anyone tell me it's solution.

get into Bios and chose boot from usb or DVD depending on what you have. Try Shift+8 before anything pops up.

    Hello HBHB,

Currently I am using DVD to boot but I have also tried using USB, both have same result - Nothing happens.

I have tried to run the system in safe mode, but that too does not work, System is promoting either to run the windows in normal mode or to run the recovery process. I have tried the both option still result still remains the same. Even spending hours on the recovery process System stops at the screen with Microsoft Windows logo.

Explain to me , are you able to boot from a DVD,if so you may want to fresh install and before make sure you have a legit copy of Win8.

I tried everything at my end and nothing happened. So I took my laptop to a computer repair shop, where I got to know that this is basically a problem in hard disk due to bad sector. Is this possible and if yes what can be possible solution? According to that person only solution is change of hard disk.

If it is in fact a bad disk, then you want to get rid of it and replace it with a new one. Hard drives, once they start to fail, can sometimes be repaired, but the odds of it failing again are extremely high and the next failure could be worse.

However, the real question is whether or not it's a bad disk. A lot of repair guys will say that, knowing that it's a nice bit they can charge you. If you trust the guy, then follow his advice. If not, maybe get a second opinion.

You can get a bootable version of your HDD manufacturer's disk check utility, burn it to a CD/DVD or put on a USB memory stick, run the test and then you will know.
If it can it will repair the HDD.

Seatools works on most hard drives.
