    SuSE 12.2, Windows7, Windows8

Hi all, noob to the forum, first post. Don't want to waste time with intros, but got a dilemma. Wanting to install 8 along side of 7 (dual boot from my ssd drive where only OS's reside) everything went well, (did a fresh install of win7 first to make sure everything was kosher) ran the script to install user and program data on a separate hd. When I installed 8, ran script again hoping that I could eventually share my user and program data between 7 and 8, but for some reason only known by the Windows Gods, win7 saw (and ordered) my drives differently than win8. In other words, my big WD drive, which is my main content drive, is drive D: in 7, but for some reason, was ordered as drive G: in 8. Drive D is the host drive to all my user and program data in windows 7. Is there any way for me to point win8 to my user and program files to my D drive (thus sharing the folders for both OS's?) Would be really neat. Seems I'm replying to someone elses post, but I couldn''t find a way to post a new post. Sorry, I'm stupid. Please help!

    Hello wtf. Welcome to EightForums.

Sorry. No one is considered stupid here. Some are more technically advanced than others. I've never heard of your technique myself. I'm not that savvy. If it's possible, perhaps because 8 involves the Modern (Metro) UI with Win32 taking 2nd in place? Desktop is now a portal to run win32 legacy programs. Much different than 7.
