    Some Help Here Please..

Some Help Here Please.. I have got a 32-bit version of POP-The Two Thrones' Game. I have a Laptop with 64-bit Windows 7 Installed.. So, when I tried to install the game, it completes with a message that says it cannot run on a 64-Bit windows. is there a way to install it on my current laptop? If yes, can i get to know?

    Thank You,
    Shon John Xander

There must be a 64 bit version of the same game. Get the 64 bit version, and that should run without any troubles

This is the first time I've ever seen a 32 bit user application not install and run on 64 bit Windows 7 O.O (Well because of a x64/x32 error)

In fact 99% of all applications are 32 bit STILL and running just fine on Windows 7 x64.

You might try right clicking the installer and running it "Run As Windows XP" or something (Sadly you can't choose "Run as Win 7 32 bit"). But in XP compatibility mode it may have a chance of completing.

Is it a new or old game? If not TOO old there may be some help for it from the manufacturer...

I have seen this a lot of times.

Try installing Microsoft Security Essentials x86 version in a 64bit Windows. It won't install. There are two separate versions in the download centre.

Have you ever used Microsoft Mathematics? Same thing here as well.

Well MSE is not a normal user mode app, it needs to install kernel mode components to work. Still 99.99% of all 32 bit applications that run in WInodws 7 at all will run in x32 or x64 bit windows installs, BUT...

The problem here is not x32/x64. It's that you are installing a 16 bit application, that will never work. You will need to load windows XP in a VM to install and run that software from this point on I'm afraid...

The error message in the screenshot indicates that the installer trying to run a 16 bit application. The 64 bit version of Windows is backward compatible with 32 bit software but it is not compatible with and will not run 16 bit software. This restriction applies even if the 16 bit component is only a small part of an otherwise 32 bit application.

That may be the case but it doesn't mean that the vendor hasn't included an old 16 bit library or component as part of the install routine or the games validity/copy protection/security check. The real question is can you figure out what the 16 bit component is and can you install/use the game without that component.
