Hi just installed Windows 8 and when I put in Halo 2 I get this error message: Files are missing or damaged in the installation directory.

Some important files required to run this game are missing in the installation directory.

So if any of you guys know how to fix this I would greatly appreciate it.

THANKS :)

Have you tried to reinstall it?

Interesting, I've tried installing Halo 2 on 64 bit Windows 8, and it installs fine but it has an Xbox Live issue at launch.

I haven't been able to even get it to install when I put the Cd in it gives me that same error over and over again, and it just doesn't give me the option to install it however my other computer which isn't as good as the one I'm using right now installs it fine and it's running windows 7 so it's definitely not the Cd's fault for causing the error so has to be something to do with the OS I'm running.. :(
