Where are the games? I downloaded and installed Windows 8 Release Preview, and for the life of me cannot find the games. :(

There's a whole slew of apps from the consumer preview not in the rp and then a bunch of new ones. I think they have to be resubmitted or something.

Like the fliptoast app is gone for twitter but now there's a different one

I don't check yet, but the RP is a Windows 8 Pro and probably like Windows 7 Pro, the games are not install by default. You probably just have to install the games in Control Panel -> programs and features -> turn Windows features on or off

solitaire exist in metro version, but since the RP is a pro it's probably like with windows 7 pro, not activated by default. The CP was an Ultimate so it was activate.

Oye vey! BUT your right, there is no GAMES whatsoever. I'm in SHOCK. You would think something would be included by default.

Sigh, yeah metro games. So if you want a little sudoku app running in the corner while you are browsing or working on something as a little distraction... well forget it. IT TAKES UP THE ENTIRE 1920x1200 23 IN MONITOR! This might be great when I'm 93 years old I guess. Great on my phone but... on my desktop? No, 1000 times no :(

The app store itself looks like a highschool project. I just can believe how utter plain and space wastefull everything is.

(But it's still a bit of cheek that MS didn't include their own version from the get go - It's been a staple addition since Win 3.0 :( )

There is now a spider solitaire game available in Release Preview under the games section of the store made by card lion which has 3 difficulty levels and also a Backgammon game which has superb graphics and enjoyable play.

I just keep checking daily for new apps by clicking the "New Releases" or "All Stars" tile in each category as the spotlight section has a limit of 100 posted apps.

There is Solitare, Pinball and a Wave Rider game for Windows 8. You have to install the Wave Rider game though but it is pretty good, even better when you have a touch screen!
