Hello.

It would be great if You guys could help me out with this FPS drop issue I've been dealing with for awhile now, I've got a high end system and it's really supposed to run the most recent games easily. I play Battlefield 4/Hardline/Bad Company 2 and on random occasions, My framerate will drop.

I've got the latest GPU drivers, I've used DDU and did a complete clean install of the GPU drivers.
I've basically updated everything including Windows updates, Chipset, etc.. except of BIOS due to the risks.
also I've unparked My CPU cores and I play these games on low at 1920x1080p at 144Hz with v-sync off.
I've even tried reformatting and doing a complete clean install of Windows 8.1 Pro x64 and the issue still occurs.

Thanks..
Brandon

I gave that a shot and not really a difference.. I've even done a clean boot along with AV/AM( Malwarebytes ) disabled completely and i play and the issue occurs..

How about Advanced Power Settings dealing with CPU and PCI bus?

Does it act the same with different graphics driver versions? Is your PSU rated high enough for the graphics card?

Are you overclocked?

Rather than posting a bunch of stuff you could to see my guide (Tips on Troubleshooting Game Issues) over at sevenforums. That said...

  • Have you checked to make sure you have the latest patches for the games?
  • Update your DirectX files lately?

That guide you created is great. Covers all the bases from what I can tell.
