Hey Windows Community,
So for some reason my son and I are not able to connect on Minecraft so we can play together. I am on a Windows 8.1 Pro machine and he is on a Windows 7 Professional machine. I have done some work on Bing and we each have our own copy of Minecraft (latest update), different IP addresses and the exceptions added to our firewalls. I will start the world and "open lan" and he will then go to mutliplayer but it just continues to show "scanning network". Even if we flip that process around it shows the same thing on my end. I am adding a screen shot of my Windows firewall exceptions and hoping you all might have some idea on what we can do to get this working. Thanks.
