Computer crash while playing Minecraft, no BSOD

Hey all,

I've recently encountered an issue with my computer where, while playing Minecraft, the last played sound will glitch out and play repeatedly, the screen will turn black, and then my computer reboots. There is no BSOD or official error, so I'm having a hard time tracking down the source of this problem, and would love some help fixing it.

This error is only encountered while playing Minecraft. I play it vanilla, without mods, so it's not a mod issue. I only recently started playing the game, but this issue appears to come up nearly every time I play. I play other hardware-intensive games like Team Fortress 2 and Fallout 3, so I feel like it isn't really a hardware issue, but I'm open to all suggestions!

Thanks a lot for the help!

The log says its version 1.7.0_07, 64-bit. Just to be safe, I'm going to re-download and install Java to see if that fixes things.

I updated Java to version 8, as apparently my version was out of date, and also uninstalled all older versions of Java. I proceeded to play for about an hour before once again running into the same issue.

You can't really play minecraft with Java 8. It crashes for me too. So I downgraded to the latest update of Java 7. Can you say what it says when it crashes?

That's the thing, it doesn't say anything; There isn't a BSoD or anything like that. It just turns to black, starts buzzing really loudly, then whatever was playing in the background continues for a bit, before buzzing again and then just rebooting automatically.
