Issue with resolution, The Walking Dead Season 2

Just happened recently after playing this game The Walking Dead Season 2 for a few days. In games options i set the graphics resolution to match my desktop resolution which is 1920 x 1200. When i tried the game one day after loading it came on screen so big i could only see the top left part of the game intro, like it was over stretched but the picture was clear.

Had no way to be able to escape the game to get back to desktop,so i tried Alt + enter to go into windowed mode, then i notice my desktop was the same over stretched screen like in the game. Now i had to reboot the PC because i was unable to even access anything, even the start button or charms bar in Windows 8.1 to be able to restart.

After a reboot everything is o.k., but if i started the game it happened again, unless i deleted files in the games folder in Documents which erases my last settings in the game. So if i go any higher then the default graphic resolution of the game which is 1024x768 it will get over stretched on the screen.

I am using a display port cable from my monitor to my graphics card, no other game i have does this using the native resolution of my monitor 1920x1200 in those games, it's all fine, even The Walking Dead season one is fine at this resolution.

Now i had tried this and it seemed to solve the issue for some reason. I used a HDMI cable to the monitor from the graphics card and Walking Dead season 2 is fine at 1920x1200. Either something about this game with a display port cable, but it was working for a few days no problems. Any thoughts and help on this is appreciated.

Graphics card is GeForce GTX 660 Windows 8.1 64bit, see most in my specs here.

Also want to update that this issue was present with NVIDIA Driver i had, there was a recent update for this driver on 11/4/14 so i updated it, but problem still exists. Other thoughts of this might be due to scaling right now in NVIDIA Control panel the display takes care of this, see in image. Nothing found on internet to help, checked with Support forums at TellTale Games.

Guess this game does not like a display port and other season 1 did. I am stumped, as over 200 who looked here, thanks so far.

Does you NVIDIA card have game profiles?
If so set one up for this game and see if it fixes the issue

No other software came with driver software i have which is newest 344.60 .
Just control panel, one settings here has to do with Manage 3D Settings.

Not sure if NVIDIA Experience does this, i never select it when installing the drivers, but usually used for optimal settings, nothing i believe will help resolution, plus only limited amount of games it supports not every game.

Never found solution to this strange problem with display port connection for this game. Only resolution is to go back to HDMI connection to monitor.

Not really a solution but a question. Have you tried a displayport to HDMI cable. Kind of curious if it would work too. Don't expect you to buy one just to test though.

Well do not have one of those. Monitor came with a display port cable, although monitor has all connections, DVI, HDMI VGA and Displayport, at time i preferred displayport knowing it was the newer type over HDMI and noticed better picture quality.

Just the damnedest thing, one game does this, have many others doesn't do it. Kind hooked on this series, real good, game adapts to choices you make within game so can be different each time if played over.

That's o.k., 511 views got me nowhere too. Well do not have one of those. Monitor came with a display port cable, although monitor has all connections, DVI, HDMI, VGA and Displayport, at time i preferred displayport knowing it was the newer type over HDMI and noticed better picture quality.

Recently i started using the HDMI cause solved it, then one day getting a flicker in screen, go black come back for sec., min. thought was my Video card, found out HDMI must been bad.

Worked since then with displayport cable.
