    Diablo 2 LOD 1.13 Problems!

    Hello!
Am trying to runt Diablo 2 on W8 Consumer prewiew and ran into some probs. The game wont start unless i run it in 95 or 98 compability mode else it prompts for cd even if i have the cd in drive it wont boot(Have checked regedit for correct drive id). While playing online or offline the game dropps from 250 fps down to 1 in about 10 secs and it does this regardless if im standing still or runing around. Tryed to download and install the Viritual XP mode but it wont install. Got the newest Nvidia drivers runing wich are W8 compatible. All other games runs smoothly only D2 that gives me probs. Ran fine on W7 but when i put it in comp mode it prompts for cd and wont boot!

    System:
    CPU: i5 2300 2,8Ghz
    GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX460
    RAM: 4GB Crosair
    HDD: 60gb OCZ SSD
OS: Windows 8 Consumer Prewiev (Build: 8250)

You were on the right track with compatibility mode but you also need to run it in a window and disable sounds. It seems to run fine like that, though I personally refuse to play without sound...

I never could get LOD to run on my system

I tried for weeks to get ready for D3. The one time I was able to get the system to actually running the game, it black screened and refused to try to start afterwards. Fortunately for me, though, D3 runs like a champ.

Diablo in Gaming
Has anyone gotten the original Diablo to work properly under Win8? I had it working fine under 7, but 8 is being a lot more problematic. The game technically works, but if you try to alt-tab out (or exit), you get "Diablo has stopped working" crash. It's quite annoying. Compatibility modes...
