Computer won't let me download games from game sites

Can anyone help? PLEASE? I had "Spy Hunter" on my computer yesterday and uninstalled it today, now I can't download any games from any sites. A message pops up and says " Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item". Any help would be greatly appreciated!
