Valve issues with new Hp Envy laptop annoying frameskips

Everytime I play games like Gary's Mod counter strike source and team fortress 2 I get the most annoying of frame skips in battle it might have something to do with a sound card but I am not sure please help.

Lower graphics settings in the game, especially AA level and Anisotropic filtering. The game is just working too hard for the hardware to handle.

If the skips are only happening when there is a lot of action, that will help it.

It's hard to tell if there is action for some games like gary's mod because I play trouble in terrorist town but I'll do that and see what happens.

You could also try the Steam Beta. Just enable it in Steam's settings.

Ok, I just wanted to check on specs to make sure the machine is gaming worthy. Seems the specs are decent and well for it, yes.

Generic advice is to uninstall your antivirus then use the tool to remove it too. Set Windows Firewall and Windows Defender to Automatic. Download/install all latest drivers from HP for your model.

See how that goes. If still no good, well then at least you completed the first step of troubleshooting. We can look further then, if we need.

Are we talking online gaming here? Could be your network connection. That machine should have no problems with the games themselves.
