Can't remove Steam icons from my Games window

I have bought several games on steam and it have always worked just fine. But I recently copied the shortcuts to the Games window and now something has gone wrong. It is the Steam shortcuts that I have copied and it seems like the Games window doesn't like Steams shortcuts. Now I have several games that I have bought on steam in my Games window and I can't run them from there and I can't delete them either. I can play them using a shortcut from the exe-file so it is not a complete disaster but I find it somewhat annoying.

Nothing happens when try to run the icons in the games window and when I right-clicking on the icons no menu appears, I have runned the Ccleaner to fix the registry but it hasn't helped and a the error sound plays when I mark the icon and press delete and I have tried to use the shift+delete combination.

How do I get Steams shortcuts to work with my Games windows and how do I remove the icons that I can't use??

Thanks, that took care of the unwanted shortcuts. And yes, I did mean the Games Explorer. But I still have problem with the steam-created shortcuts. Is there someway to make them work in the Games Explorer window or do I have to stick with "real" shortcuts?

I'm happy to hear that got rid of them.

You could try the method in the tutorial below to manually add them to the Games Explorer to see how they may work or not, but it may easier to just use shortcuts where and how you like instead.

Thanks. You sure am right that it is easier to use real shortcuts instead of steams. I am sticking to the real ones in the future until steam change their shortcuts and I don't think that will happen soon...
