My neighbor got me started on World of Tanks a few months ago and I'm up to 1400 battles so far. It's very addicting and is just the right combination of FPS (no blood or gore), role playing and simulation. The game pace is perfect for me and I'm really enjoying it.

You don't have to have the latest hardware to run the game, but I thought the GTX-650 was fine until I got my new GTX-660 and the difference is simply amazing!

Anyone else here play??

I've been playing it for a long long time , but it's actually on the decline now on the PC side.

They keep nerfing a lot of the tanks , making major errors in judgement (The SPG over-nerf for example so nobody wants to play them any more) and it's becoming more and more obvious they are trying to push you to spend RL cash more and more as tanks that become popular end up getting the nerfbat and a 'gold' tank becomes available soonish after which is similar to the original un-nerfed tank.

it's a shame , I used to play it a lot (Tier 8/9/10) ..but now only log on the play the odd low tier 3-4 match.

I'm not familiar with the term "nerf" so I don't know what you mean, but then again, I'm only a Level 4/5 player. My neighbor has been playing for almost 3 years and he still enjoys it. I don't mind paying, especially if I can play free and see what the game is like 1st. Those software developers have to be paid....

Oh, I've been playing a few months and I'm up to 1900 battles, so far and I'm still enjoying it very much. I'm using a few Shermans, US TD's and German TD's and I just moved to Tier 6. I have all of my tanks max'd out and the crews trained. Fun, fun, fun!

can you give some advice on what tanks you like and why? also, maybe some strategy tips? I've been trying to squeeze more time into the game on the Xbox but I don't have enough free time to really learn the tanks or the maps.

I like the Sherman tanks and German and US tank destroyers. For light, fast tanks - you are a "scout", tank destroyers should use the flanks (sides) and snipe the bigger tanks. There is a ton of strategy info on youtube and each tank has their own videos showing what you can do. Upgrade your tanks, train your crew and play a lot! I'm almost at 2000 battles, so I really like the game!!

I just hit my 3000th game milestone and am enjoying my KV-1 and KV-2 (derp gun!), ARL-44, Hellcat, E2 and E4 Shermans and BDR-G1B tanks. I just got a T-150, which is also pretty cool...
