    keeping in mind I've only had this thing a month, in windows XP there were several games built into the OS. card
    games, even a pin ball game. now are there such games in this windows 8? or do I need to pay for everything?

    If you go into the Windows Store, you will find thousands of games, most of which are free. Some of which are very cheap, and some of which are not as cheap. Microsoft has a number of games they provide via the store, such as Solitaire, Minsweeper, Backgammon, Mahjong, etc...

I am completely new to Windows 8 since I installed it today, and when I went into the X-Box games app, I couldn´t see any of my purchased games from GFWL, what gives? It would only seem logical or doesn´t it?

I installed Windows 8 64-bit. I don't see any games installed. In control panel, under Programs & Features then under Turn Windows Features on or off I don't see any games. then, from the title screen I do a "type search" for chess and it finds nothing. What gives? I can only hope they...
