The System Requirements are unfortunately not very accurate.

The Game is very demanding on the CPU, but doesn't utilized the cores properly and a high Single-Core-Speed (via OC) is more important than the amount of cores. SLI get's not proper utilized as well.

I struggle even with my rig, but I should be able to play the final maybe with high / very high settings in Single-Player and acceptable fps, but Multi-Player combined with a large amount of AI is even more hardware hungry.

I noticed that too. Whilst my rig is a good performer (see sig) sometimes the game gets a bit slow, but it runs smoothly most of time. Anyway it's still in beta stage.

That series seems to have a really long beta stretch. Looks like the are taking there time and using the feedback to improve. That is rare for games these days.

Yeah, but they will not re-write their game-engine, therefore the utilization will only improve minor. No one will be able to play the game with ultra-settings or even maxed out settings in multi-player, as the CPU will be always a bottleneck. We will possible get better scripted missions from the community and hopefully servers with proper setup's.

OK, not the engine, but textures, 3D data and ambience effects may still be better packed, instead. I think they're going right in this point. They still can move some processing power to GPU without breaking the actual CPU pipeline.

The engine only utilizes half of your cpu, as there is no support for plenty cores and physx is cpu bound as well, which will unfortunately not change either. If you have plenty ai, then the cpu / gpu utilization drops badly and the fps with it. Its a nice looking game and I bought the supporter edition, but I have not too much hope for a much better performance. There are people with 2x Titan's and a 3930x or something and the game doesn't run better for them either. There is hardly no difference in performance between a cheap and a very expensive rig. BF4 will be hopefully better.

- Ultra-Settings = average 40 fps
- Very-High-Settings = average 52 fps
- High-Settings = average 69 fps
- Standard-Settings = average 92 fps
- Low-Settings = average 125 fps
- Lowest-/Disabled-Settings = average 168 fps


Single GTX680-SOC-2GB (LN2-BIOS activated and further OC, as shown in the Screen-Shot above):


- maxed-out Settings = average 28 fps
- auto-detected Settings = average 39 fps
- Ultra-Settings = average 39 fps
- Very-High-Settings = average 51 fps
- High-Settings = average 69 fps
- Standard-Settings = average 96 fps
- Low-Settings = average 127 fps
- Lowest-/Disabled-Settings = average 180 fps


As you can see, it's not worth it to run a SLI-Setup.


PS: The further OC of the GPU's doesn't change a thing.

It seems that even having a monster computer won't change a thing. That sounds too bad for gaming enthusiasts !

Even with a great VGA I'm limited by my CPU... I get 50 FPS with high settings.
