Let me know what you think of it. I have never used a game booster. I always thought, why would I run software to limit other software running? I have heard others saying it helps. My motherboard even sports a network genie, to enable optimizing for gaming. Sometimes I just like to try stuff, so I may give it a go one day

I works like a charm. It stops all non-essential software and services and frees up RAM before starting the game. Using it coupled with EVGA PrecisionX (GFX OC Tool) results in a considerable performance gain. I've tested it with NFS Hot Pursuit and Ace Combat: Assault Horizon so far.

Go for it !

I am scared of software that does literally nothing. The OS is good enough on figuring out the resources. I think I tried a gaming software that reduce process and services to free up resources for the game. For me it crashed or caused errors so I feel its not useful for me.

If you need more RAM just buy more RAM and shutdown programs and background processes.

.....Err that's what this does , It tweaks your system by closing down unnecessary processes and background services. Upon exit of the application it resumes to a normal state. It will also diagnose any errors you may have and allow you to do some copy/pasta and post to a relevant forum for help. Screencast is built in as well so you can check FPS.

I can notice the effects on my PC , so its not a placebo. Admittedly if you have a high end PC you may not notice anything at all.

As a noob to gaming on my PC, I find this all very helpful.

EDIT :

Razer Game Booster
