    CPU Temperature

Is a CPU temperature in the 70's with a max of about 85 too high for gaming when playing battlefield bad company 2.

    I have a quad core i7 3630 cpu.

Will this high temperature damage my cpu? Should I be worried?

What kind of temperatures do you guys get?

Is this a desktop or laptop? If a desktop, what type of cpu cooler do you have installed?

Your Tj Max for your cpu is 105 c, you are running a bit warm..

    Hopefully thats your highest temp.

    It is a laptop.

    Lenovo y500

    3rd Generation Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor (2.40GHz 1600MHz 6MB)

I do not know what kind of cpu cooler is in there other than the basic setup.

You might want to place it on a flat surface, a table or something if you don't already. Since keeping it on your lap, pillow, or a soft surface will not allow the laptops components to 'breathe' or cool down.

Hi all, So, my computer for a few months now has had the fan running constantly, and gets pretty hot even when I'm not doing much. I just downloaded Speccy and realized that though my secondary computer is running at 80 normally, my primary laptop is hitting 160 degrees. This is with a web...

Not sure if this is correct forum but I got the link from here for hardware diagnostics for BSOD issues (from Usasma - Hardware Diagnostics ) I tried the blend stress test for Prime95 and the CPU temperature on both cores hit 100c within about 5 minutes so I stopped it. Idle CPU temp is...
