Installed Windows 8 and everything works well... except Bejeweled Twist. Have tried every compatibility setting and tweak I can think of, have uninstalled and reinstalled the game twice, and all I get is the "Bejeweled Twist has stopped working" error message. Game will not operate at all. I'm open to suggestions at this point.

Well looking at the System Requirements from the site:
Bejeweled Twist

OS:
Windows XP/Vista
Memory (RAM):
256 (minimum); 512+ (recommended) MB RAM
Processor:
1.2 GHz or faster
DirectX Version:
8 (minimum); 9.0c+ (recommended)
Internet:
Internet connection is required to register both the download and back-up CD-ROM versions of the game

Since you already tried Compatibility Mode then I think the game is just Not compatible but according to the community at Windows Compatibility center where 3 people says it works.
Windows 8 Compatibility for Bejeweled Twist version 1 from PopCap Games

I suggest you just buy the game on Windows Store for $5:

Bejeweled LIVE app for Windows in the Windows Store

It is updated to use Xbox Live thing.

Oh that really helps. Suggesting I spend more money on a game I already have. Thanks a lot.

Now, can anyone out there give me some HELPFUL advice?

Well The game was made for previous OS and The suggestion is pretty easy but if you insist.

The other way is if you Have Windows 8 and copy of XP or previous OS that worked with game with the Key then you can use Hyper-V
Here is Link on how to get started:
Run virtual machines on Windows 8 with Client Hyper-V - Microsoft Windows

One you get your virtual System of XP (or vista, win7) then you just install the game on it.

The problem is that virtual system probably can't do the graphics really well so the game might fail.

Here blog post on why Hyper V has problems with 3-D games:
Understanding High-End Video Performance Issues with Hyper-V - Ben Armstrong - Site Home - MSDN Blogs

You can do a search on how to run a game in a virtualized box system whether through a virtual OS or some type of emulator that some person develop for games. I am sure you can spend time and find some solution but if I were you I would just take the easy route.

Sorry about the attitude earlier... was frustrated and it wasn't called for. My mistake.

I went to the links at your suggestion, but it seems my motherboard does not support Hyper-V as it doesn't show up and Powershell is frustrating to use. I ended up downloading VMWare Player and trying it out, and it works well.

Thanks for the help.
