Hi
I am running win 8 release pre and I am having a problem with my mouse.
Ever so often, too often, the mouse will not move and it will hang there for about 2 or 3 seconds and then suddenly starts moving again.
I have tried uninstalling the driver and restarting the computer but the problem still remains
Any idea what I can or should do next to resolve this problem?
Thanks

Wow, finally I found someone with the same problem. Windows 8 Enterprise Final, Core 2 Duo, 2GB, Microsoft Mouse 2000 Bluetrack. Sticking and jerky cursor. I tried uninstalling the drivers, use generic driver, Windows Vista drivers, everything. I found a July topic on Neowin Forum but not solved.

Any idea?

Hi guys.

I believe Windows 8 rarely has problem with mouse. You haven't mention what type of mouse (track pad) you are currently using.
Have you tried switching the mouse with other spare mouse that's known works? (just to rule out the hardware problem)

My it's a USB wireless mouse. Works fine on Windows 7. The cursor start to lag when I click on a link or a text field.

I have Logitech combo and Logitech mini wireless. The driver have no problem but few months back the Logitech SetPoint sofware were having problem but I was able to get the latest version of it, and all are now running fine. :)

I assume your battery still good to go. Sometimes Win 8 doesn't work well with certain version of drivers. try rolling back to the older one? or find the latest that more compatible with it?

Is your mouse on a clean surface? sometimes if it gets dusty or dirt on it will act weird ive known my mouse to behave weird when the pad is dirty or gets stuff on it.
