Solved Hard Drive not being found!

I Recently bought a WD 3TB hdd (Internal) and cloned my dying one onto it.
It worked for a while but then it started to become realy slow, so much that on boot it would go past the windows 8 logo and then it was black, so I put my old hdd in my rig and it came up with error code 0xc000000e I'm pretty sure that it means that it cant find the drive with the OS on it so I booted it up with my new hard drive in but it still had the error so I got the windows 8 64 bit CD and went into repair troubleshoot to run cmd (because restore didn't find my OS) and when cmd started I used bootrec commands to fix it such as /bootfix /rebuildbcd ect but it didn't recognise any drives with Windows 8 on it so I checked the SATA cables but they were in fine so I tried to run dskmgmt.msc from cmd but that was not found because I don't have multiple hdd's. I think it could be the cmos battery but I don't think so because the PC is relatively new (Around 1 year old) If you have any solutions please say because I'm not too sure about it.

My Specs
GPU Gigabyte GTX 1080 OC edition :)
Previously a Zotac Gtx 960
CPU Intel i5
Old hdd a toshiba one not to sure about that
New hdd WD red series 3tb business hdd
Motherboard a Gigabyte one that I'm not so sure about the model
Thank you.

Welcome to the forum. Does the BIOS see the drive is the first check. What was wrong with the old drive the problem with cloning a faulty drive if it has bad sectors a clone depending how you cloned can copy the bad sectors to the new drive

Does this WD HD, like some of the others, have on-board/circuit-level encryption and DriveLock (with or without passwording)?

The Bios will detect the hard drive ok and the old hard drive was turning on then off on a loop I think that was because of a off balanced platter.

I'm not to sure I would assume it would because I spent more than £100.00 on it.

The thing is the hard drive will show up fine in the BIOS but not actually in the OS (Whatever the "OS" is at this point)

Goto makers site and download their test software often they have a bootable option see what that makes of it have you tried another port

Several data recovery specialists recommend, if possible and affordable, make a one-pass/no-repetitive-read-attempts (?very short timeout?) clone of this problematic HD onto any target external HD; I think remember reading elsewhere that somebody made a sector-by-sector one-pass/no-repetitive-read-attempts (?very short timeout?) full image of that problematic HD. The cloned ext target HD is stored in a safe place, in case more drastic data restoration or recovery is needed. If this HD is slowly beginning to fail physically, I hope a real soon usb or dvd boot will lead to a successful cloning or full imaging onto external media. If this HD has a "logical" failure within Windows, perhaps a usb or dvd boot can lead to a successful clone or full image onto external media.
I have seen MiniTool Partition Wizard 9.1 and MiniTool Power Data Recovery, or, any two like programs similar in power, being mentioned as useful tools. Of course, follow the restoration and/or recovery advice of the good folks in here.

I see what you mean but I don't think the hard drive is faulty... I think it is just not being found, but I will try with the WD software
