    You might not need to know this but my old hdd started bugging out after I installed my GTX 1080.

    From what I would decipher, the boot sector of your original HDD had got corrupted. The same corrupt boot sector has been cloned to the new drive.

    Check whether this helps to repair the boot sector. ( Incidentally you can also copy important files - backup) Fix Boot Error 0xC000000E (Required Device is Inaccessible)

    I got the 0xc000000e fixed but now I'm getting 0xc0000001 just my luck
