Bluetooth connection issue

Hello to all!

I have an issue with bluetooth connection. I just got a new Windows 8.1 machine for work about 2 weeks ago. The IT guys installed my IOGear USB Bluetooth dongle for me, at this point everything connected and was working fine. I use LG bluetooth headphones to listen to audio while I work (and to drown out other misc. office noise). Typically when I get up to do something out of my office I will pause the audio player, then turn my headset off, come back turn the headset back on, it will say connected, then I will play the audio just fine. Last week I did the same practice and the headphones said "ready to pair". I checked the devices in the bluetooth menu, it was there said it was paired, but that's all that would happen, turned the headset off and on a few times, same, then I thought remove the device then it will find them and re-pair and everything should be fine, the device was not found by the computer, it was finding everything else that I had before, not the headset. Restart was a nightmare as Windows 8.1 decided it needed to update features! after that the issue persisted. I tried several things that I am "allowed" to do, nothing. Today the IT guy come by to check to see if all was good, I told him about the problem, he removed the drivers and reinstalled them. It did show the headset back in the devices as paired, when I turned the head set back on, it still went into pair mode. (the headset is working fine as I use them at home, etc...). I removed the headset from the device manager, not the bluetooth screen. went back to the bluetooth screen and now the headset is gone and it won't discover the headset. Any help would be much appreciated.

OK, I got my wife's LG HBS-750 bluetooth head set, took them to work. I went to add bluetooth devices and turned the headset on, it went into pairing mode, the computer found it and the head set said it was paired, it showed "connected" for about 3 seconds on the screen, then just went to paired. I turned the head set off and back on, it went back into pairing mode, the computer shows that it's paired, but it won't connect.
