Old graphics driver crashing system

Hey all.
My system has a AMD A6 6310 Processor with integrated Radeon R4 graphics. A month back I updated from catalyst control center to the new AMD Radeon Crimson. However my games lag a lot in this new driver. In the older one, I could switch to a Gaming preset and that fixed it, there's no such feature in this new control panel.
So I decided to roll it back. I uninstalled this and reinstalled the old driver that I had been using for 1.5 years (no problems, ever). Now however, this laptop crashes like crazy. No blue screen, nothing. Everything just goes black, the speakers buzz and the laptop restarts. This happens while doing seemingly nothing, I was just browsing FB yesterday when it all started! If I update to the new driver, it stops, but my games lag. The old driver works well, with the gaming preset enabled, my games are buttery smooth. But it crashes every 15 minutes or so(the laptop).
What do I do?
Thanks in advance.

since you're using a Dell Inpsiron laptop, try using the older graphics drivers from here.
