Hello

I woke up to a surprise this morning. A new drive just appeared on my PC titled "System K:". It has 356 MB allocated to it with 34 MB of stored data on it. I tried to open this drive but the following message appears, "You have been denied permission to access this folder".

This is somewhat alarming and I would appreciate hearing from anybody who may know what this is.

Thank you.

Windows probably assigned a drive letter to your System Reserved Partition. It's where your boot files are stored. All you have to do is hide the partition again. Here is a video on how to do that. You will be removing the drive letter (K) so it will not show in File Explorer or ThisPC. Do not delete the partition or Windows will not boot.

Hi James.
I appears to be so but it's still a little startling and confusing when you're not expecting it.
